Planning to become a Professional Home Inspector...

The WPPII Fundamentals of Home Inspection Program is approved by Consumer Protection BC (CPBC) for Licensing in British Columbia.

While the program is "Made in BC" and is frequently updated for relevance to BC, the content includes all of the fundamentals of home inspection recognized across Canada and internationally.

The program also covers the additional content requirements (optional but at no additional cost) for registration as a CHI (Certified House Inspector) with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC) - the only home inspection designation given professional  recognition under the Professional Governance Act in BC.

How Long Does it Take?

As a result of the CPBC licensing requirements for instructional hours, it typically takes about 6 months to complete the regular program: two - 3-hour evening webinars per week plus a "virtual lab" session which is also online.

Can this be accelerated? An option is available to double the webinar sessions to four - 3-hour sessions per week which reduces the completion time to about 3 months.

Many other schedules are possible to fit the individual needs of students...

How much does it cost?

NEW!

Base tuition is now $3600 which may be paid in 3 installments of $1200.

An option for a single initial tuition payment of $3500 provides a $100 discount (to help with textbooks).

Textbooks are an extra ~$200.

A new "spread payment" option allows students to spread their tuition payments over 6 progress based periods at $650 per installment (less than the average cost of a single BCIT home inspection course).

This fee structure may be subject to review in 2025.
